------Water Well Drilling and other Domestic Well Requirements -------
All wells must have both state and county well permits approved before drilling begins, county permitting is only required in Bernalillo. We can help with the permitting process if you need or choose, you will need to supply required documentation. The OSE permit is $125.00 for a new well, $75.00 for a replacement well and the Bernalillo County permit is $75.00. If you need our assistance with the permitting process we charge for that service. Please be aware some counties may require the well to be metered. The specific requirements for your property will be written in the final state/county permits. In addition, in Bernalillo county, it is required that there be a 6x6 cement slab placed and water testing for new wells is also required, we charge for these services, but they can also be done by the customer if they choose. If there is an old well that needs plugging, we charge per foot.
Please visit https://www.ose.state.nm.us/ and https://www.bernco.gov/public-works/about-natural-resource-services.aspx for more information.
Drilling is charged per foot. This includes drilling, 4', 4 1/2” or 5" spline lock casing, minimum of 40 feet of screen casing, cap and sealed with Bentonite. Please be aware that some areas require steel casing or steel casing advance due to a variety of factors not always known prior to beginning the drilling process. If steel casing is required, it is charged per foot. We also cannot guarantee the quality or the quantity of water produced from any well. Unfortunately, there is never a guarantee of finding water. A dry hole will be charged per foot. In parts of Santa Fe/Glorieta/Pecos we charge a fee for water, gravel and mobilization.
The customer is responsible for approving the drilling site. The site must be plainly marked, and/or the customer must be present when drilling begins. We may have suggestions for the location based on our experience, but there is no guarantee of water production or depth to water. Customer must be aware that there is never any way to tell how deep it will be to water and if there is a specific well depth the customer wants the driller to stop drilling, the customer must tell the driller prior to drilling. Again, there is no guarantee that the well will be producing at any specific well depth.
Also, please be aware that there are specific set-backs that must be considered when selecting a drilling sight. State requirements are as follows; 100 feet from any leach field, 50 feet from any domestic septic tank, 50 feet from any neighboring domestic well on another property and 10 feet from property lines. Please be aware that these set-backs are general and there could be specific set-back requirements for your specific property. Please check specific requirements for your property, HOA...etc.
Please be aware that there will be some subsequent damage to the drilling site area and customer shall not hold Aqua Logic Drilling and Pump Service responsible. If trees or large bushes must be removed this will be discussed with the customer prior to drilling. Please inform any neighbors that may be affected by the noise/discharge from drilling process prior to us beginning.
We cannot guarantee any specific date to start drilling; because of the nature of the drilling process some wells take longer than others, there are often unexpected repairs, weather or other possible events that come with the drilling process that cannot be determined beforehand. We strive to stay within the estimated time-frame given to start drilling but please be aware this may change. We will always be in touch when scheduling comes closer to your project. We also reserve the right to cancel any drilling project for any reason.
We require a 50% deposit upon the arrival of the equipment to the property. Payment in full upon completion of the well (drill and case.).
